RemarksEponymy: Hetaeria blackii Ames, Orchidaceae (Ames) 5: 43. 1915. "(R. F. Black) was a protestant missionary for the Congregational church serving in Davao, Mindanao, with his wife in the early part of the 20th century" (vide Deborah Huss). "Robert Franklin Black was born August 27, 1870, and died in 1952 ... He was in Davao from 1902 through part of 1915, and, after that he and his family moved to Wisconsin." (vide Lauren Hesler).
