Bartholomew, D. H. Nicolson & B. Nordenstam, Taxon 46: 311-314. 1997; they addressed the authorship of the relevant new Japanese species in Murray's work and concluded "Thunb. (in Murray))." Likewise, new names published in "Nova Acta Regiae Soc. Sci. Upsal. vol. 4" (post-Oct 1784) do not have priority over the identical names published in J. A. Murray, Syst. Veg., ed. 14.
