Remarks= C. glandulosa A. Gray 1861 (fide M. Lavin, Syst. Bot. Monogr. 21: 75. 1988). Within the protologue of C. microphylla, Gray cited Pringle's and Lemmon's collections (without collection numbers) from "the Santa Catalina Mountains, S. Arizona." He also stated that "the fruit obtained only by Mr. and Mrs. Lemmon." Although Lavin assigned Lemmon 144, 145 to C. glandulosa (see p. 159), he did not comment about Lemmon's collection being part of the syntypes.
