| Remarks | Photographs (of the original plant) made in 1944 IPNI Remarks: Moir (Phytologia 17(6): 432. 5 Dec 1968) published this name invalidly. He provided a Latin description and cited a single collection (W. W. G. Moir s.n.) cultivated by him at Honolulu, Hawaii, which flowered in 1949 (extinct in 1969). His 1969 protologue implies that there was never a permanent specimen and that he described his new species in 1968 from a living plant (cf., Vienna Code Art. 8.4). |
