RemarksBased on H. A. Pederson the Holotype was destroyed at PNH. In the original introduction (p.311) to the paper in which Dendrochilum hutchisonianum Ames was originally described, Ames stated that: " the types of the new species herein described are in the Herbarium of the Bureau of Science at Manila. Usually cotypes are to be found in my Herbarium"
