Remarks

compressed except for the 2 cm proximal interval, often curved and/or convoluted, basally dilate and dorsally channelled, 3 leaf traces in petiole XS; infructescence hanging, paniculate; receptacle shiny yellow-orange, succulent in appearance; fruit ovoid, 14 x 12 mm (wet), exocarp bright red-orange, pulp watery and yellowish-red, seed single, gibbous, 13 mm x 8 mm; testa verrucose, bony, black when fresh (turning dark brown when dry).
