In McVaugh's, Edward Palmer, Plant Explorer of the American West: "I suggest, therefore, that Palmer's locality was "12 to 14 leagues" (about 60 km.) southeast, rather than south, of Saltillo,... This area has been accesible to Josiah Gregg for a botanical excursion in 1848, and it was doubtless equally available to Palmer in 1880." |
