Remarks

habitat is very peculiar being along the runs that drain the swamp where Darlingtonia californica and other bog plants of southern Oregon grow. These bogs are different from anything that I know of being springs that furnish no grate amount of water but are sometimes several acres in extant. This violet grows along the little streams and not in the bogs [letter in packet]
