RemarksShrub 4-8 ft. Corolla pink, darker along the centre of the petals and at the base, very sparsely spotted on adaxial side. Fiolaments pale pink, hairy at base. Style rosy, glabrous. Ovary green. Calyx unequal, dull, hairy, dark crimson, lobes same colour. Pedicels same as calyx, hairs dark red. Petioles covered with long glandular hairs which extend a short way along the midrib. Leaves green above, pale green below. Young wood also covered with long bristles. Common among Rhododendron and Abies on steep hillsides
