RemarksHeavily grazed broad flood plain and adjacent dry slopes. Plain with sparse herbs (many chenopods) and grasses; some small sand dune with denser vegetation; margins more silty and largely planted with Populus or with Hoppophaea thickets, soils often encrusted salt. Dry slopes dominated with tussocks of Achnatherum. Perennial herb; stems prostrate, to 70 cm; leaves gray-green, slightly fleshy; flowers purplish fading blue. Growing in open sandy areas
