| Habitat | A tree distributed locally over the Transition. Common along running streams and water-holes of the upper canyons. Usually it is a subdominant species in the Pine-Fir-Cyprus forests. Possibly a climax form with two species of Oaks, Q. Chisosensis, and Q. Muhlenbergia in Maple Canyon. |
