Habitat | Abundant in meadows from Coffee Creek to Dorleska and Union Creek, associated with Veratrum californicum, Helenium Bigelovii, Senecio triangularis, Mimulus primuloides, etc. The surrounding forests are of Abies concolor, Pinus ponderosa Jeffreyi, and Libocedrus decurrens. The plants sometimes grow sparsely along rivulets flowing through the meadows, but more commonly they form compact beds, especially the pitchers, among which grasses and other plants grow with difficulty |
