RemarksShrub 2-3 ft., Corolla fleshy; shell pink to slightly orange pink, dark red nectar pouches. Filaments white, style palest green. Calyx dull crimson, fleshy. Few shrubs seen, among other Rhododendrons on steep, rocky slopes (R. thomsonii x R. campylocarpum)
