RemarksNarrow limestone gorge, cliff bases with rubble and earth covered with bushland and remnants of Juniperus trees, now all bushlike in habit and only stumps of large trees, Salix the commonest shrub; bottom of gorge with river and narrow flat alluvial area with scattered bushes. Perennial herb, gregarious; inflorescences to 45 cm; upper barcts sometime pinkish; involucral bracts purple black; corolla and stigma pale purple; anther tube steel blue. Growing on shrubby slopes
