= Solidago simplex Kunth subsp. randii (Porter) Ringius var. randii (det. M. E. Medley, 1993); Note that T. C. Porter in the protologue cites Rand and Redfield as one of the types. It is unclear if this represents a single collection made by both Rand and Redfield, or if T. C. Porter is citing two collections, one made by Rand, the other by Redfield.
