Determination RemarksM. Barkworth commented on Type Specimen Record Sheet: "According to ASH (Contr US Herb 24:220) specimen in NYBG gives date as April 1851. Thurber gives no date in his notes. Seems best to declare specimen in GH as lectotype because that is one of the two places Thurber's herbaruim is supposed to be located- but should look at specimen in MO."
