HabitatWhitish soil in cleared montane scrub; with heights of up to 1200 m. and down to c. 780 m. adjacent. Rainfall (av. of 31 years) 635 mm., with maxima in April and October. Escarpment edge with granites, gneisses and schists exposed; white or yellowish sandy or loamy soils. Montane scrub; largely degraded by cultivation, fuel cutting, etc.
