Item RemarksRobert Bell was not on the East coast of Hudson Bay on 1879 (cf. geol. surv. can.). That year he surveyed on the churchill + Nelson R's between L. Winnipeg + Hudson Bay. On Macoun's list, published with Bell's reprint 1789, A. vulgarisis noted as collected on the Nelson R. between Norway house and the coast. So this specimen may have come either from the w. coast of Hudson Bay or somewhere on the Nelson., H. M. R. 1943 !ECA: - cf. Dr. M. O. Malte's note on Bell 14648 (CAN) July 20, 1879; he says "Dr. Bell was on the West coast of Hudson Bay in 1879"
