Remarks

attributing this to the LooChoo Islands is probably an error. This specimen matches one in the U.S.N.H. collected by Wright without number in the Bonin Islands. The existence of this species in the latter islands is substantiated by recent collections, but there are none from Liu Choo. W. H. Walker 7/4/43. Error substantiated by reference to Gray's unpublished mss.
