Remarks"This flower appeared in 1897 or thereabouts on a seedling which I purchased of F. Sander & Co. during my trip to England with Gilmer Clapp. Before it bloomed I promised F. Tracy Hubbard I would name it after him. It is ambiguous." Oakes Ames
