RemarksVery tall species often exceeding canopy trees in height; stem 27 m. long, 11.5 cm. diameter below leaves; leaves 10, 3.15 m. long (petiole very short); vagina ca. 1 m. long; spadix 1, in ripe fruit; fruit black, 10 mm. long, 5 mm. diameter.
