Remarksprogeny of a large tree present here, planted inthe early 1980's. Apparently this tree has produced very few seedlings throughout its life, only a few per year, but this year is very different. Perhaps the change is due to some young trees planted in the research garden, just behind (N of) the herbarium building, producing pollen for the first time last year
