Remarks

Heavily grazed broad broad flood plain & adjacent dry slopes. Plain with sparse herbs (many chenopods) & grasses; some small sand dune with denser vegetation; margins more silty & largely planted with Populus or with Hippophaea thickets, soils often incrusted salt. Dry slopes dominated with tussocks of Achnatherum. Rhizomatous fleshy perennial herb; mature fruit brown. Growing on river flood plain (also seen in most areas including under trees)
