| Remarks | non Blyttia Arnott 1838 (Asclepiadaceae). Type Species: B. lyellii (Hooker) Endlicher (Jungermannia lyellii Hooker). Eponymy: Mathias Numsen Blytt (1789-1862). Since Endlicher spelled the genus name as "Blytia", Gottsche, Lindenb. & Nees (Syn. Hepat. : 474 1846) changed the genus name spelling to: Blyttia. Such a change in the spelling requires an approval from the International Association of Plant Taxonomy. |
